January 2013 Honey Extraction Process at B Hogan Apiaries
B. Hogan Apiaries is owned by Ben and Nancy Hogan
and their son Tim (William’s Grandson). They currently manage 25
beeyards, 800 hives (which equates into approximately 50 million
bees.) The production from these hives yields, on average 120,000 lbs
or 60 tons of honey annually. The beeyards are located from
Belleville to Gananoque, Ontario. The Retail Store, Federally
Registered Processing and Packaging Plant is located along the
loyalist Parkway, just west of the village of Bath.
In 2005 they expanded their business to include “The Sugar Shack”
where they produce their own Maple Syrup on site.
Come and visit the honey making process and taste for yourself the
"Unbearably Good Honey" found at B. Hogan Apiaries.
